Eshimani Foundation: A Holistic Answer for Well-Being & Global Health Sustainability
The Eshimani Foundation is deeply rooted in the principles of holistic health, addressing शरीर (physical), इद्रिय (sensory-motor organs), सत्व (mental), and आत्मा (spiritual) well-being. Our mission is encapsulated in रक्षणम, which embodies the five pillars of prevention, protection, preservation, promotion, and propagation of health—extending from the individual to society, local to global, under the comprehensive approach of YOGAYU.
Ayurveda & Yoga: A Global Response to Health Crises
The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the necessity of a robust, immunity-driven, and holistic approach to health. Ayurveda and Yoga, time-tested sciences of well-being, emerged as integral contributors in supporting immunity, mental resilience, and recovery across the world. The WHO (World Health Organization) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, acknowledged Ayurveda and Yoga as essential tools in strengthening immunity, reducing post-COVID complications, and enhancing respiratory health.
Globally, institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins University, and Stanford University highlighted the role of Yoga in reducing stress, improving lung function, and fostering mental resilience. Countries like Japan, Germany, the USA, and Australia integrated Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha, Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia), and Turmeric into their wellness strategies to mitigate COVID-19 effects.
Sustainability in Health: The Need for Natural Harmony
While health is one, its sustainability depends on a natural harmony between internal healing mechanisms and external interventions.
